MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – After days of being holed up in sanctuary at the Senate Building, Senator Antonio Trillanes has admitted to having had sleepless nights.
Today, Trillanes formally requested Senate President Tito Sotto to arrange for his immediate transfer to the Peninsula Hotel. Manila Pen was the site of the 2007 siege staged by Trillanes and the Magdalo group when they sought for the ouster of then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Trillanes told The Adobo Chronicles that he feels more comfortable at the Manila Pen because it has all the facilities and amenities that are lacking in the Senate Building. “It’ll be nice to have hot showers, a comfortable bed and breakfast buffets while awaiting for my eventual arrest,” he said.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – There’s no more room at the Inn, so the Philippine National Police (PNP) has come up with a solution to accommodate Senator Antonio Trillanes when he is finally arrested and jailed.
