Team Pilipinas Starts Counter Petition To The Counter Petition To Indict Leni Robredo On Sedition Charges

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) –Almost two weeks ago the pro-Leni Robredo Team Pilipinas started an online petition urging Philippine Justice Secretary Manardo Guevarra to dismiss the Sedition charges against the Vice President. It has so far garnered over 20,000 signatures.

Two days ago, a pro-Duterte netizens launched their counter petition asking Guevarra to let the Sedition charges take the judicial course. As of publication time, the counter petition is close to reaching its current goal of 7,500 signatures. You can sign the counter petition HERE.

Since then, Guevarra has said that the Team Pilipinas petition will have no effect on the ongoing investigation of the charges against Robredo and others.

Now, afraid that it will soon be outnumbered by the counter petition, Team Pilipinas started a new petition — a counter petition to the counter petition to indict Robredo.

May the best petition —or counter petition — win.

And best of luck to the Vice President.

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The blog site Rappler is reporting that President Rodrigo Duterte has tapped Davao ‘Gambling Lord’ Atong Ang to fix the mess at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Duterte recently ordered the shutting down of all gaming schemes at PCSO, incuding Lotto, Keno, STL and others due to alleged corruption.

Now, reliable sources have told The Adobo Chronicles that Duterte is looking for a qualified smoker to head the National Tobacco Administration, an agency under the Department of Agriculture.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that the President believes in tapping experts to be at the helm of government agencies.

Panelo added that Duterte is also about to appoint a Kadamay member to head National Housing Administration.

Will Philippines Soon Be Totally Smoke-free, Gambling-free and Alcohol-free?

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – He hates drugs. He hates smoking. He hates gambling. Does he also hate alcohol?

We all know about his war on drugs. Many believe he wants to make the Davao smoking ban national law. He just shut down the gaming schemes of rhe Philippine Charity Sweepstakes. Will he also initiate a nationwide liquor ban?

Speculations, speculations.

But is the  Philippines headed to being the world’s first vice-free country?

Stay tuned. Oh, and while we’re at it, perhaps there should also be a nationwide karaoke ban…
