DDS Bloggers’ Inconvenient Truth

It’s peak comedy watching the Duterte bloggers whip up baseless hysteria about Afghans arriving in the Philippines.

These aren’t random refugees or secret agents plotting world domination; they’re former workers for the US government simply waiting to complete the processing of their US visas.  But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good scare story?

Irony takes a nosedive when these same bloggers, along with their DDS crew, suddenly lose their voices over 11,000 foreign workers involved in illegal POGO operations. Imagine the selective outrage: Afghans helping Uncle Sam? Security threat! Chinese POGO workers laundering money or violating Philippine laws. What’s the problem, bro?

It’s as if these bloggers have a magical radar that only detects imaginary threats but conveniently overlooks real ones. Who knew national security only mattered when it wasn’t inconvenient for their narrative? Perhaps if the Afghans were running casinos, they’d get a free pass too! Ah, the politics of priorities.
