TVJ To Name Their New Show On TV5 ‘The Orig Eat Bulaga!’

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Former Senate President Tito Sotto today announced that EAT BULAGA will air on TV5 as early as July.

But how can there be two shows with the same title, the other with a new cast on GMA7?

No, problem, Sotto says, adding that their show on TV 5 will be named “The Orig Eat Bulaga” after all, he claims that they own the copyright/trademark for the show title.

Adding “Original” to the title of their new show will help distinguish it from the copycat GMA7 noontime show.

So TV viewers interested in slapstick comedy/variety shows should tune in to GMA7 if they support the new cast, or to TV5 if they are loyal to Tito, Vic and Joey.

By the way, The Adobo Chronicles just signed a content agreement with TVJ for the Orig show.

Filipino TNTs In America Can Now Visit Canada Visa-Free!

TORONTO, Canada (The Adobo Chronicles, Toronto Bureau) – Filipino TNTs, or Tago ng Tago (always hiding from Immigration) in America will now be able to visit Canada visa-free!

This was announced today by the Canadian government as part of its overall campaign to promote tourism in the country. The new policy was inspired by the new Philippine branding “We Give the World Our Best” which was first launched in the United Kingdom, featuring the Filipina nurse who was the first to administer the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We definitely want our share of the best,” Canada’s foreign minister told The Adobo Chronicles.

The only requirement is for potential Filipino travelers to have a Philippine passport that’s valid for at least 10 years plus a Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card that has an available credit limit of $20,000.

The credit card requirement will be waved for Filipino Registered Nurses.

In Defense Of Raissa Robles

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Adobo Chronicles empathizes with self-proclaimed investigative writer Raissa Robles as she asked on her Twitter account why “trolls” keep on attacking her with an old lie (presumably the rumors on her shoplifting in Greenhills). She challenged her commenters to be more creative.

We totally agree.

We all should stop spreading the old and tired rumor and instead focus on the facts about her.

Case in point: Robles has an English Literature degree from the University of the Philippines with focus on imaginative writing.

Let’s give her the benefit of the doubt as she continues to write and post articles or comments that are the figments of her imagination. She’s good at it. After all, she graduate magna cum laude!
