The Vatican Ready To House Afghan Refugees!

THE VATICAN, Italy (The Adobo Chronicles, Rome Bureau) – A ranking official of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines just gave The Vatican a bright idea — that of housing Afghan refugees that the U.S. wants to send to the Philippines.

The U.S. request elicited grave concerns about the rationale of sending the displaced Afghans to another third-world country when America was primarily responsible for their unfortunate status.

Bishop Ruperto Santos of CBCB reminded everyone about the biblical teaching of welcoming strangers.

But the Philippines’ financial capability to house refugees pales in the light of The Vatican’s coffers to undertake this compassionate act, according to this study of the University of Michigan.

Besides, isn’t it the Catholic thing to do in as far as The Vatican is concerned?

Elon Musk Shuts Down Jover Laurio’s Twitter Account!

SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – Just hours after YouTube terminated Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s channel for violation of YouTube rules, Twitter shut down the account of Jover Laurio of the infamous Pinoy Ako Blog (PAB).

The unprecedented move by Twitter owner Elon Musk came after Laurio tweeted a threatening message on her account.

Laurio was reacting to statement by Quiboloy is “bullet-proof” to which she replied, “Sample, sample,” insinuating that someone should shoot the pastor — a clear and irrevocable violation of Twitter rules.

Twitter rules couldn’t be any clearer than this: “You may not threaten, incite, glorify, or express desire for violence of harm.”
