QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Producers of the long-running ABS-CBN’s ‘Ang Probinsyano,’ are finally giving in to the demand of Department of Interior and Local Governments (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to change the teleserye’s plot to make it less critical of the said government agencies.
But while agreeing to change the story line, producers also announced that the teleserye is finally coming to an end after three years of broadcast.
ABS-CBN unveiled details of the show’s final episode which airs in mid-December, just before Christmas.
According to informed sources, the final episode will fast-forward the story and feature an aging Cardo, the good cop (played by Coco Martin), who will retire from service after finally bringing honesty and competency to the police department.
”The story ends with the end of corruption within the police ranks,” one of the producers told The Adobo Chronicles.
All’s well that ends well.
