ASEAN SUMMIT: Trump and Trudeau Dislike Sinigang, Go For McDonald’s And Jollibee

03F7F878-7ECF-4A85-80E1-B181289304A2MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Sinigang,  the tamarind-based sour soup which is one of the mainstays of Philippine cuisine, has an acquired taste, and both U.S. President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau don’t like it.

But it was on the menu during the welcome gala dinner attended by world leaders attending the ASEAN Summit in Manila. So Trump and Trudeau were famished after the gala dinner.

But no worries, Trump ordered his security detail to go fetch him some McDonald’s burger and fries, while Trudeau ventured into one of Manila’s Jollibee fastfood restaurants to pick up some chicken joy.

All’s well that ends well.
