MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – There is still a lot of speculation on why Cocoy Dayao and Rappler CEO Maria Ressa did not show up at last week’s Senate Hearing on ‘Fake News.’

Well, those speculations can now  be put to rest — at least in as far as Ressa is concerned.

In an exclusive interview with The Adobo Chronicles, Ressa said that the invitation to attend the hearing was sent to Rappler’s fake address.

”As an online-only news source, we do not have an actual office building or phyisical address unlike all the other publications and broadcast networks,” Ressa said.

”We have a fake postal address but because it is fake, no snail mail ever reaches us.  Everything is ‘lost in the mail,’ “ Ressa added.

So there you have it, dear Senators.  If you ever issue a subpoena to Ressa, call her or text her so that she can come personally pick it up.
