WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Cristeta Comerford is a Filipino-American chef who has been the White House Executive Chef since 2005. She is the first woman and first person of Asian descent to hold the post. After serving under two presidents, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, she is finally hanging up her chef cap.
President Donald Trump has just handed Comerford her pink slip.
White House senior aide Kellyanne Conway told The Adobo Chronicles that the new president doesn’t really need an executive chef since his favorite meal for both lunch and dinner is a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken with a side of cole slaw and mashed potato. With gravy of course.
It is rumored that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has offered Comerford the position of Malacañang (the Philippine presidential palace) Executive Chef.
Comerford has not formally responded to Duterte’s offer.
