HONOLULU, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles, Honolulu Bureau) – Throughout his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has refused to accept scientific evidence on global warming. “Man-made climate change is a big hoax, ” he told The Adobo Chronicles.

The president-elect said he does not need any scientific evidence. “We just need to look at what’s happening around us,” he suggested in an exclusive interview from his penthouse suite at the Trump International Hotel  in Waikiki.

“I flew by my private helicopter over the Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa volcanoes today and the peaks were covered in snow,” Trump said, “so how can anyone say there is global warming? I can only imagine it must be freezing down there.”

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a winter storm warning for the summits of Hawaii’s Big Island as wind and snow engulf the high peaks.

Up to a foot of snow is possible on the summits of Hawaii’s Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa volcanoes above 12,000 feet.

Meteorologists say the summits could see periods of heavy snow with wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour through Friday evening.

Trump On Sarah Palin: “Blood Is Coming Out Of Her Eyes And Wherever”

IMG_7363.JPGNEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – It was a comment directed at FOX News anchor Megyn Kelly during the presidential debate, but now, Donald Trump has reprised that comment, this time aimed at former VP candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever,” Trump said after Palin criticized him for the tax deal he negotiated with Carrier.

Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence helped arrange $7 million in Indiana tax breaks over 10 years for Carrier in exchange for the company’s promise to keep about 800 of 1,400 jobs in the U.S. instead of moving them to Mexico. In addition, Trump threatened to impose a stiff tariff on Carrier products if they sent all of the work across the border.

Palin, who is reportedly under consideration to join Donald Trump’s cabinet, blasted the tax deal, condemning it as “crony capitalism.”

The president-elect was, of course, not happy at Palin’s comments, and that’s when he repeated what he said about Kelly.

Congresswoman Vilma Santos Thinks Respect Is A One-Way Street

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Film actress and now Congresswoman Vilma Santos came to the defense of her fellow woman legislator Senator Leila De Lima who is embroiled in controversy regarding her alleged role in the proliferation of the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison when she was Justice Secretary.

While Santos says we all want to hear and know the truth about the allegations, she called on everyone to “consider our subjects to be humans like us and yes sa kaso nga ni Sen. de Lima, babae pa rin siya who needs respect (in the case of Senator De Lima, she’s still a woman who needs respect).”

But the congresswoman from Lipa, Batangas was silent on the disrespect that De Lima has shown towards President Duterte.

De Lima recently called Duterte a “tired, old narcissist” for his stand on reviving the death penalty in the Philippines. She, however, has not criticized her fellow senators and members of the House of Representatives who also support the restoration of the death penalty.

It seems Santos believes that respect is a one-way street, and is reserved only for women.
