HONOLULU, Hawaii (The Adobo Chronicles, Honolulu Bureau) – Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence came under intense fire for her live television comment regarding butt-scratching on a sacred rock while filming in Hawaii.

Today, however, Lawrence defended her comment by saying that ” if Pope Francis can say ‘sh*t,’ then why can’t I say ‘*ass?’ ”

Lawrence was referring to a comment recently made by Pope Francis in which he compared media spreading fake news to ‘excrement.’

“Is there a double standard here, just because I’m a sinner and the Pope is a saint,” Lawrence asked her critics.
