SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chronicles, San Francisco Bureau) – It wasn’t only Barack Obama that Donald Trump accused of being a non natural-born U.S. citizen. The Republican presidential candidate’s birther movement extended beyond politics. It included Hollywood.
After eight years insisting that Obama wasn’t eligible to become president of the United States, Trump finally accepted last month that the Hawaii-born occupant of the White House was, indeed a natural-born U.S. citizen.
But Trump also doubted that Hollywood actor and martial arts icon Bruce Lee was born in America. He always considered that Lee, who died in 1973, was Chinese. He frequently asked: “How can anyone named Lee be American? And a karate expert at that?”
Well, today, after Lee’s estate showed Trump a certified true copy of a birth certificate, the GOP candidate finally acknowledged that the actor was indeed a U.S. citizen, born in San Francisco.
Now that he’s done with birther issues, Trump is now focusing on tax issues that have derailed his presidential campaign.
