BREAKING: HILLARY TO BE PROCLAIMED DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE ON JULY 29!

imageARLINGTON, Virginia (The Adobo Chronicles) – Supporters of U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton can’t wait for 2016 to officially nominate her as the Democratic standard bearer for the 2016 elections. They are convening in Virginia this July to anoint their candidate.  It’s a done deal: Hillary is it!

The Adobo Chronicles has just learned that Clinton will be officially chosen by acclamation on July 29 during the national convention of barbie doll collectors.  No other barbie collection has come close to being considered for the nomination.

Convention chair Julie Bronski  said, “We’ve always known that Hillary is a star, and now we get to celebrate with her and all of our closest friends.  We look forward to the 2015 convention, as well as the 2016 presidential elections.”

MISS WORLD PHILIPPINES CONTESTANTS CRY FOUL, CLAIMING PORTRAITS WERE MADE TO LOOK LIKE BARBIE DOLLS

miss worldManila, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – Just days after the crowning of the new Miss World Philippines, Valerie Weigmann, contestants in the beauty pageant filed a formal complaint against the organizers for their ‘photoshopped’ official portraits.

Head shots of all 26 pageant candidates were taken by official photographers as part of the promo leading up to pageant night.

When the photos were published, the candidates were shocked to find out that their photographs didn’t look anything close to their natural look.  They claimed that organizers photoshopped each and every photo to look like Barbie– fair and silky complexion, unblemished and looking like plastic dolls.

“They made us all look alike,” one contestant complained. Another said, “the photos diminished our chances to stand out and to win the title.”

Pageant organizers did not return calls from The Adobo Chronicles seeking comment on the ladies’ allegations.

Weigmann will represent the Philippines in the Miss World Pagent to be held in London on December 14.  She hopes to succeed another Filipina, Megan Young, who was last year’s Miss World.
