Quezon City Hall To Take Over National ID Production And Distribution In NCR!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Move over, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Here comes Quezon City Hall under the able leadership of Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Residents within the National Capital Region (NCR) frustrated with the long wait are applauding the transfer of the national ID production and distribution from PSA to Quezon City Hall (QCH). They include those whose IDs were waiting to be delivered when fire gutted the Manila Main Post Office.

The good news is that QCH can produce and print IDs within minutes as it does with official senior citizen, PWD and other plastic IDs. Compare that with more than two years that citizens have waited — many still waiting — for their national IDs.

As long as ID applicants have the complete requirements as stated in the application form, they only need to wait no more than 10 minutes for the high-tech machine to print their plastic IDs.

ID applicants can visit the main QCH or its district satellite offices to get their instant national IDs.

Mayor Belmonte told The Adobo Chronicles that temporary satellite offices throughout the rest of the National Capital Region (NCR) will soon be set up for this purpose.

ABS-CBN, Adobo Chronicles Ink Content Partnership!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Just days after entering into a partnership with House Speaker Martin Romualdez’ Prime Media Holdings, ABS-CBN and The Adobo Chronicles signed an irrevocable agreement for the former to provide content to the latter.

Earlier, ABS-CBN announced that it is willing to partner with more media organizations for its own financial survival.

Under the latest deal, ABS-CBN will use AC’s worldwide viewership (numbering more than 28 million as of this writing) to disseminate its news and entertainment content. (Since ABS-CBN’s broadcast franchise has not been renewed, the only way for the former network to have a continuing presence on the airwaves and the Internet is to use existing, legitimate entities.)

AC publisher Rene Astudillo welcomes the partnership with an open heart and open arms. “ABS-CBN’s impressive reputation for fake news, copy-cat teleseryes and celebrity gossip fits perfectly with AC’s avowed mission,” he said.
