FL Liza Marcos Sends Thanks To Binibining Maharlika!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – For the very few people that still follow Binibining Maharlika, it has become evident that First Lady Liza Marcos has been the target of this Marites-Vlogger’s “boljak” (sour-grapes criticism) sessions.

But the First Lady, nor President Bongbong Marcos never stooped down to Maharlika’s level and just let the Vlogger’s non-career take its course . . . down, down, down.

Yesterday, however, the First Lady finally broke her silence and sent a lovely thank you note to Maharlika. FL expressed her deep appreciation to the self-admitted “palangga” for making her the President.

In her most recent boljak sessions, Maharlika referred to PBBM as “First Gentleman,” practically proclaiming to the the world that it is the First Lady that is acting as the Head of State.

Titular heads are quite common in all forms of government — Democracies, Parliamentaries, Monarchies, what have you — so a leader in name is not necessarily a bad thing. That’s why Liza Marcos is not only thankful, but very honored.

Moral of the story: Be careful what you accuse people of, it may come back to hit you, and hit you hard!

Jay Sonza Fuels Speculation About Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Social media in the Philippines was abuzz with speculation and gossip after former broadcaster Jay Sonza posted a congratulatory message to former Senator Mar Roxas and wife Korina Sanchez. Sonza didn’t explain his post.

Immediately, netizens on both sides of the parlor speculated that Roxas has been appointed to the cabinet of President Bongbong Marcos, a rumor that has been going around for some time now.

Others assumed that the couple are expecting a baby. The Roxases already have twin surrogate kids.

Still, others suspect that Mar Roxas is being groomed to be the opposition presidential candidate in 2028, dashing hopes for Leni Robredo to make a political comeback as the highest official of the land.

Pending confirmation, we join the nation in congratulating Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez!
