The Commission on Elections has revealed plans to use malls instead of schools starting with the midterm elections in 2025.
The National Coalition of Shopping Malls of the Philippines (NCSMP) has thrown its full support for the Comelec plan. Coalition members don’t mind opening their malls at 6am on election day.
What’s more, the mall owners and concessionaires have agreed to offer 50% discount to Filipinos who can show proof that they have voted on that day — as proven by the indelible mark on their finger.
