David (Kiko Pangilinan) Vs. Goliath (Google)

Screenshot

Former Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s decision to file a cyber libel case against YouTuber “Bungangera TV” and Google has left many scratching their heads and stifling laughter. It seems Pangilinan is aiming for a jackpot of compensatory damages, akin to trying to strike gold in a fool’s mine.

Comparing it to suing the U.S. government for the actions of one American citizen adds a delightful touch of absurdity to the situation. Perhaps Pangilinan envisions himself as a modern-day Don Quixote, tilting at windmills of internet trolls and search engines.

While cyber libel is no laughing matter, the spectacle of a seasoned politician taking on digital giants in court borders on the comical. One can’t help but wonder if Pangilinan’s legal strategy involves throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks.

In the meantime, the rest of us can sit back and enjoy the show, complete with popcorn and a healthy dose of skepticism.

All Is Well As 7-Day Prayer Rally Ends

Screenshot

The 7-day prayer rally orchestrated by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and Rodrigo Duterte’s supporters concluded without achieving its intended goal of inciting an EDSA people power movement reminiscent of the ousting of Ferdinand E. Marcos.

Contrary to its spiritual guise, the rally primarily served as a platform to advocate for the protection of Quiboloy and Duterte while condemning constitutional amendments and promoting VP Sara Duterte’s ascendancy over Bongbong Marcos. However, the outcome starkly contrasts with their aspirations.

Bongbong Marcos remains president, Sara Duterte is still the vice president, and the constitutional amendment to lift economic restrictions progresses in Congress.

Meanwhile, Quiboloy faces legal troubles with the U.S government and Philippine Senate. Ultimately, the rally fizzled into insignificance, failing to mobilize significant support or evoke the transformative spirit of the original EDSA revolution, leaving Filipinos to continue their lives without significant upheaval.

An Ode To The Appointed Son Of God And His Apostle Vloggers

21st Century Last Supper

In Davao’s halls, a feast unfurls,

A modern tale, with twists and swirls.

The appointed son, with chosen few,

Dines with vloggers, a loyal crew.

Like Christ of old, in solemn grace,

They gather ’round, each taking place.

But instead of bread and wine divine,

It’s power, fame, and status they dine.

The Last Supper, a sacred rite,

Becomes a summit, gleaming bright.

With selfies snapped and hashtags shared,

Their loyalty proclaimed, declared.

But as they toast, and laugh, and cheer,

Do they forget the truth, so clear?

That power’s grip, though firm and grand,

Can’t wash away the shifting sand.

For in the end, what will they find?

A feast of folly, left behind.

As history’s tale repeats once more,

In Davao’s meal, and days of yore.
