CASTRO RAINBOW HONOR WALK BOARD IS HIRING FOR NEW POSITIONS

imageSan Francisco, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – The historic Castro Rainbow Honor Walk (San Francisco’s version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame) was unveiled Tuesday amid fanfare and celebration, only to be doused with a cold bucket of ice, complete with embarrassment and criticism.  The reason? Glaring typos on a couple of the broimagenze plaques (see photos).

In an apparent attempt at damage control, Castro District County Supervisor Scott Wiener and the Honor Walk Board of Directors announced they were hiring for two full-time positions, effective immediately. The job description lists the following required skills:

  • Must be able to spell ‘biting’
  • Must be able to spell ‘transgendered’
  • Must know the correct color sequence of the gay rainbow flag

(The next phase of the Castro Street redevelopment project involves the painting of crosswalks with the colors of the rainbow)

The Honor Board is an equal opportunity employer. LGBT and straight people are encouraged to apply.

PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENTS IN WEST HOLLYWOOD TRACED TO RAINBOW-COLORED CROSSWALKS

West Hollywood, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – In just the last 15 months, four pedestrians crossing the streets of West Hollywood have reportedly been killed — all of whom were hit by motorists.

In addition to the deaths, several people have been injured, including a man hit by a car early Tuesday just steps away from popular gay establishments like the Abbey and P.U.M.P. Lounge.  He is the third persons hit by a car on Santa Monica Boulevard since June this year.

West Hollywood Police investigating the rising number of pedestrian accidents said that all cases seem to point to road rage and that all perpetrators were homophobic drivers.

One of the perpetrators, a West Hollywood resident,  told police he is outraged at the shameless display of homosexuality in his neighborhood, particularly the painting of crosswalks in rainbow colors. “Not all of us who live in West Hollywood are homosexual,” the man said,” so why do they have to flaunt their gay-ness when it does not represent all of us in the neighborhood?”

Crosswalks in San Francisco’s gay Castro district are also scheduled to be painted in rainbow colors and residents are weary that it could lead to hate-related pedestrian accidents similar to those in  West Hollywood.

THE REAL REASON MICHAEL SAM WAS CUT BY THE ST. LOUIS RAMS

imageSt. Louis, MO (The Adobo Chronicles) – American football player Michael Sam made history by being the first openly-gay player to be drafted by an NFL team. Now, he just made history by being the first openly-gay player to be cut by an NFL team.

Sam didn’t make the final cut with the St. Louis Rams so his millions of LGBT fans won’t see him in action in the upcoming NFL season.

Anti-gay and conservative groups are rejoicing over the Rams’ decision to dump Sams.

As expected, CNN Sports will have sufficient material in its broadcasts for the next three months, analyzing and overanalyzing why Sam lost his spot on the team.  ESPN, Sports Illustrated, The Advocate  and other media outlets will surely increase their viewership and readers just by running the headline, “Did Homophobia Ruin Michael Sam’s NFL Career?”

To put all speculation to rest, The Adobo Chronicles contacted Rams owner Stan Kroenke and asked him what the real reason was for Sam not making the final cut. He sent this one-line response in an email:

“Michael Sam was not gay enough!”
