Ukraine’s Zelensky Barred From NATO!

(The Adobo Chronicles’ senior geopolitical correspondent, Brian Neyra contributed to this report.)

In a surprising turn of events, Ukraine’s President found himself facing a towering obstacle on the path to NATO membership. Sources reveal that a new height requirement, aptly dubbed the “NATO Upward Aspiration Act,” has been implemented, effectively barring Volodymyr Zelensky from joining the exclusive club of world leaders.

Rumor has it that NATO officials have raised the bar quite literally, demanding a minimum height of 6 feet for entry. This development, dubbed “Height-gate,” has left President Zelensky, who stands at a modest 5 feet 5 inches, feeling a little vertically challenged on the global stage.

In the world of international diplomacy, it seems that size really does matter.

BREAKING NEWS: Filipino Fishing Boat Outsmarts Chinese Coast Guard Speedboat (Video)

by Pol Pinoy, Brian Neyra, and Melchor Vergara

AYUNGIN SHOAL, South China Sea (The Adobo Chronicles EXCLUSIVE) – The Adobo Chronicles has obtained a video of a Chinese Coast Guard speedboat chasing a Filipino fisherman’s fishing boat in an effort to drive it away from disputed territory in the South China Sea.

Lo and behold, the fishing boat outsmarted the more powerful speedboat with the Filipino fisherman just laughing off the exciting chase at the end.

The Adobo Chronicles caught up with the Filipino fisherman just minutes after the chase and we asked him what led to the scary incident.

Mang Kanor (not his real name) said he was trying to beat what apparently was a new number coding imposed be the Philippine Coast Guard on Filipino fishing boats. In the process, he accidentally encountered the Chinese Coast Guard on his way back to Palawan. And the rest is history.

The good news is that Mang Kanor did beat the number coding deadline and avoided possible penalty of cancellation of his fishing license.

All’s well that ends well!

PH Government’s Plan To Remove Chinese-installed Floating Barriers In South China Sea

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – To show its firm resolve to deal firmly with the territorial dispute with China, the Philippine government announced it will remove the floating barriers that were installed in the South China Sea. The barriers set up by China has prevented Filipino fishermen from accessing their only source of livelihood.

Asked what the PH government will do with the floaters once dismantled, Malacañang Press Briefer Daphne Oseña-Paez said they will be divided and distributed to public swimming pools across the country.

“This will be a boost to the swimming training program of the country in our quest to harvest more Olympic medals in the sport,” she said.
