Imelda Marcos’ Gift To King Charles On Coronation Day

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – King Charles and Imelda Romualdez Marcos are no strangers to each other. The two met in 1975 during the coronation of King Birendra of Nepal. Charles was then a Prince and Marcos, First Lady of the Philippines.

The King wanted very much to have Mrs. Marcos present at his coronation on May 6 in London but the latter’s health condition prevents her from traveling.

But no worries, Mrs. Marcos’s son, President Bongbong Marcos will personally hand over to the King, a priceless coronation gift — no, not a speedboat, but a signed, framed photograph of the two during their 1975 meeting.

It will be one for the books and for the esteemed treasures at the Buckingham Palace!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Divisoria is a commercial district in Manila which Filipinos consider a haven for the utmost bargains — from food to clothing to housewares, plants and decors.

Well, even America’s famous personalities like Elon Musk, Leonardo Di Carpio and Tom Cruise are joining in the bandwagon.

Despite their intentions to be incognito, they couldn’t escape the discerning eyes of Pinoys. So photos of them ordering street food have flooded social media.

The Department of Tourism couldn’t be more happy that these personalities are helping promote the Philippines to the international world – at zero expense to the government.

How cool is that?
