MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Shortly after the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations issued a press release on the results of its inquiry into the landing of a U.S. military plane in NAIA, Senator Risa Hontiveros issued her own statement.
In the press release, Senator Imee Marcos said that the U.S. Embassy had admitted “clerical error” in the failure to obtain proper documentation for the landing.
Hontiveros demanded that the U.S. Embassy name the clerics who committed the error. “The Philippines expects full transparency from the U.S. if it wants to continue our good relations, especially in the light of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement, or EDCA,” Hontiveros told The Adobo Chronicles.
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In a press release issued by Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair Imee Marcos, she said that the U.S. Embassy in Manila has admitted that the questionable landing of a U.S. military plane at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) recently was due to a “clerical error.”
