SENATOR FERDINAND MARCOS, JR. PROPOSES THREE VICE PRESIDENTS FOR PHILIPPINES

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – ABS-CBN is reporting that The Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) and the Partido ng Manggagawa at Magsasaka (PMM) will sign a unity accord to launch the tandem of Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as candidates for president and vice president, respectively, in the May 2016 elections.

But Marcos clarified today that neither he nor Duterte has made a decision about running in 2016.

However, the son of the late dictator Fernand E. Marcos unveiled a proposal which he says could create a formidable team that will definitely crush Vice President Jejomar Binay’s presidential ambition (only Binay has officially declared his candidacy for president).

Marcos is proposing to quicky amend the Philippine Constitution to allow for the election of a president and three vice presidents, one each of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippines’ three main islands.

“It’s time we stop governing the country from Manila,” Marcos said. “Having three vice presidents would ensure that the issues and concerns of all Filipinos are represented in the central government,” he added.

Asked by reporters what his team would be composed of if the electoral change is approved and implemented, Marcos said, “Easy. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for president, Senator Chiz Escudero for vice president for Luzon, Miriam Defensor Santiago (who is from Iloilo) for vice president for the Visayas, and Davao City Mayor Rodrgo Duterte for vice president for Mindanao.

Majority of congressmen and senators seem to like the proposal, so a swift and quick constitutional amendment could easily happen in time for the 2016 presidential elections.

The Adobo Chronicles® interviewed thousands of likely voters and put together this top ten list of why Americans think Trump would make a great president:

1. There will never be a question about his birth certificate.

2. He will be effective in working with both sides of the aisle in Congress. He was a Democrat before he became a Republican.

3. As president, he won’t need a press secretary or a podium microphone, being the loud mouth that he is.

4. He has his own private jet. Imagine all that savings in taxpayer money which would otherwise be spent on Air Force One.

5. Who needs the White House when he has his Trump Towers?

6. We all know he will be the president that will finally solve illegal immigration, by closing the border and all international airports in the U.S.

7. He will be the president that will stop all wars that America is involved in. He doesn’t like wars. He dodged the Draft, remember?

8. We will finally see an end to the meme, ‘It’s the economy, stupid!’ We will have a stupid president managing our economy.

9. As president, he will have no problem saying to incompetent cabinet members, “You’re fired!”

KIM HENARES: PHILIPPINES’ TAX WOMAN QUITS, JOINS THE MILITARY

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles® ) – Filipino champion boxer Manny Pacquiao can now breathe a sigh of relief. Kim Henares, the Philippines’ chief tax woman who has been aggressively going after his prize winnings, has resigned. Effective immediately, Kim Henares is no longer the commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

The reason? Henares has a found a new calling as a member of the Philippine military. Not just an ordinary member, but a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force.

The now former BIR chief said that she is tired of being criticized for her no-nonsense campaign to collect taxes from Filipinos, especially highly-paid athletes and celebrities. “If I can’t do my job without being seen as a villain, what’s the point?” she asked.

Henares received her credentials at formal ceremonies held today at Camp Aguinaldo, the main headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Incidentally, Pacquiao is also a lieutenant colonel in the reserve force of the Philippine Army.
