PRESIDENT AQUINO REPRIMANDS SISTER KRIS FOR HER ‘BIG MOUTH’

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) –    Television host Kris Aquino got the reprimand of her life today — from brother president NoyNoy.

What began as a response to a question on whether she had any plans to run for political office in 2016 ended up with Kris confirming that her brother President Aquino will face many criminal charges as soon as his term is up.

In responding to the question by actress Nora Aunor, Kris said her priority are her two kids and his single brother, President Aquino.

“Kapag natapos ito, bata pa siya, 56. Siyempre di ba I’m sure, let’s be honest, ang daming kaso na mangyayari sa 2016. Alam natin iyan. So kailangan niya ako, andoon ako. Family first,” she said. (After his presidential  term, he would still be young, at 56. Of course, he will face many charges, we know that. So, he needs me to be there for him.)

After hearing of Kris’ comments, President Aquino summoned his sister to Malacanang and scolded her for being such a big mouth. “You don’t know if I will face charges after I step down as president,” NoyNoy told Kris. “Don’t give my critics and opponents any ideas!”

After the 15-minute private meeting with her brother, Kris was seen leaving Malacanang in tears. Sources said she was desperately trying to reach Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista to seek advice and some consolation. Kris and Bautista are known to have been romantically linked in the past.

BEST PICTURE CATEGORY ELIMINATED FROM THIS YEAR’S OSCARS!

imageHOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – For the Oscars, actors vote for actors, directors vote for directors, writers vote for writers — at least in the first round of nominations. But all voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences get to cast their ballot for Best Picture as well as the other category winners to be announced this Sunday.

So one would expect all 6,000 plus Oscar voters to have seen the 8 nominees for this year’s Best Picture, right?

Wrong!

A poll conducted by The Hollywood Reporter shows that about 6 percent of Oscars voters have not seen the Best Picture nominees, and that of those who have seen the films, majority saw it on screeners — in other words, on DVD.

Recognizing that film industry insiders no longer want to sit in a crowded theater or listen to their fellow audience members talk and text during the movie, The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences voted today to change the name of their top award from “Best Picture” to “Best DVD.”

An anonymous source within the academy confided: “We only wish this poll had been conducted years ago, so that the Oscars from the 80’s and 90’s could have accurately been given for ‘Best VHS Tape’.”
