The FB/Meta Hoax That Keeps On Giving

Ah, the Facebook/Meta privacy hoax—an enduring classic, like the cockroach of misinformation. No matter how many times it gets debunked, it crawls back onto our feeds, armed with fresh fonts and a sprinkle of legal jargon to lend it faux credibility.

The real comedy? Even the so-called intellectual elite can’t resist the urge to copy-paste it, as if Mark Zuckerberg himself is lurking, trembling at their decisive public declaration: “I DO NOT CONSENT!”

You’d think that by now, the collective IQ of netizens would be high enough to spot a recycled chain post, but alas, critical thinking seems to short-circuit the moment the words “your privacy” appear. It’s not about intelligence; it’s about laziness. A quick fact-check is too much work when you can just share and feel like an activist.

The real irony? These same people will gladly trade their data for a quiz to find out which potato they are.

Sasot Vs. Heydarian: Numbers Don’t Lie (Fact Check)

(Maria Bratikova contributed to this report)

Self-proclaimed International Relations Expert and now desperate blogger Sass Rogando Sasot took to her X account to ridicule self-proclaimed political analyst Richard Heydarian to accuse the latter of losing his following.

We can’t compare apples to oranges, so let’s stick to their current numbers on X, and not on other social media platforms.

A quick check shows Sasot with 30K followers on X compared to Heydarian’s 113K.

So who is desperate for attention now?

Fact Check: Jay Sonza’s P1M Lies (video)

In yet another dazzling display of creative fiction, former journalist-turned-professional troll Jay Sonza took to social media to announce that all criminal charges against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in the U.S. have magically vanished. Clearly, Sonza is now moonlighting as a master illusionist, conjuring stories from thin air for his boss, the head of the disenfranchised SMNI News Network.

According to Sonza’s latest tall tale, the U.S. courts have graciously decided to drop everything against Quiboloy. Unfortunately for Sonza’s P1M-per-lie gig, reality disagrees.

In fact, Marissa Duenas, an HR manager from Quiboloy’s KOJC, did plead guilty for violating US marriage laws in a deal for a reduced sentence. But Quiboloy? Still very much on the FBI’s Most Wanted List, his charges remain untouched.

It seems Sonza’s reporting has evolved into an entirely new genre—fiction—where facts are optional, and the truth is whatever keeps the paycheck coming.
