Free-Range Sardines Command A Higher Price

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – You expect to pay more for free-range chicken or eggs, so you should, too, with free-range sardines.

Animal rights and political correctness advocates are hailing the brand Rose Bowl for introducing free-range sardines in the market.

The new “gold” canned sardines, which cost more than twice their regular product, are packed in oval-shape cans which, the manufacturer says, allows the processed fish to enjoy a free-range environment. “They’re not as packed as the regular canned sardines,” a Rose Bowl spokesperson told The Adobo Chronicles.

For the same 425 grams, the oval sardines cost P145.95 compared to the regular can at P61.95 at a supermarket near you.

“Packed like sardines” has taken on a new meaning!

Shocker: ‘The Victor’ Is Actually A Statue Of Ninoy Aquino!

PASIG CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Pasig City Bureau) – The newly-erected “The Victor” in Pasig City, said to be taller than the Statue of Liberty, is actually a statue of the late former Senator Ninoy Aquino.

The final artwork was unveiled on the eve of Ninoy Aquino Day which commemorates his assassination 40 years ago.

Ninoy’s image, however, is only visible through a special magnifier lens camera similar to one owned by The Adobo Chronicles’ Jake Don.
