Politique PH Tuesday: The DDS Destabilizers

So, the DDS’ and the Paid Parrot Propagandists’ grand saga of illogical obsessions continue to unfold! 🎭

In the latest plot twist, Sara Duterte graciously declares she won’t run for president in 2028, and this shattered the glass delusions of Duterte devotees who have been penning operas of absurdity. 🤷‍♀️🗳️

But let’s not underestimate the mental gymnastics of these rabid supporters. They relentlessly clamor for the vice president to run against her own will! And it’s only 2023! 🤸‍♂️💫

What motivates them, you ask? Perhaps it’s the PPP’s puppet masters who have interests to protect and the ones pulling strings in the shadows, or it is a mere desire to tarnish the Marcos administration. Who knows? 🕵️‍♂️💭

Now, enter Pres. Bongbong Marcos, defending Sara Duterte like a knight in shining political armor. He termed their camaraderie “excellent,” and he even went the extra mile to shower praise on the VP. 🛡️👏 What does this reveal?

It reveals the real destabilizers, my precious readers, are not Speaker Martin, not the Loyalists, not the PCO, not the BBM bloggers/vloggers, not the Makabayan Bloc, but the DDS, who are purveyors of fake news and champions of conspiracy theories, a genre they’ve mastered without rhyme or reason. 📰🕵️‍♀️

In a dazzling display of cognitive dissonance, despite the recent declarations from Sara and BBM, the DDS clings to their conspiracy theories like a shipwreck survivor to a piece of driftwood. Because, you see, in the DDS Universe, the President and the Speaker must be orchestrating elaborate demolition campaigns against Sara Duterte. Seriously, who needs facts when you can have fantastical fiction? 📚🤯

So, brace yourselves for the next act in this theatrical production of political buffoonery. The DDS may lack the capacity to think, but their ability to weave tales of intrigue and confusion is truly unmatched. 🎭🤔

Miss Universe 2023: The Morning After

Ah, the morning after the Miss Universe Pageant, where the glitz and glamour of the night before dissipate like last night’s hairspray fumes, leaving behind a trail of questionable decisions and unforgettable moments. Let’s break down the highlights, or rather, the lowlights, that have left us scratching our heads and questioning the cosmic alignment of tiaras.

First up, a round of applause for the revolutionary semi-finalists – a married mom, a plus-size goddess, and a transgender trailblazer. Because nothing says “beauty” like breaking free from the shackles of conventional standards and embracing the chaos of real life. It’s almost as if the pageant organizers decided to throw in a diverse mix just to keep things interesting. Bravo for the token diversity, Miss Universe, you’re really pushing the boundaries of pageantry.

Then there’s Miss Pakistan, who dared to defy tradition by strutting her stuff in a “burkini” during the swimsuit competition. Because who needs a bikini when you can make a splash in something a little more modest and culturally rich? It’s a bold move, and we can only hope it inspires future contestants to showcase their individuality, perhaps in parkas during the evening gown segment.

In the world of unexpected plot twists, we had the official Miss Universe top 5 art card controversy. One card had Miss Philippines included among the chosen five, while another had Miss Thailand stealing her spotlight. It’s like the universe itself couldn’t make up its mind, leaving pageant enthusiasts around the globe scrambling to update their beauty queen brackets. Hey, consistency is overrated, right?

And who could forget the dramatic exit of the Miss Universe Mexico national director? Storming out in a fit of rage because her country’s representative didn’t make it to the semi-finals, she left us wondering if we had accidentally tuned into a telenovela. It’s like the Miss Universe stage turned into the set of a soap opera, with the national director playing the role of the scorned villain.

Oh, and did we already talk about the sour-graping that it was a “cooking show” seeing as how in a Latin host country, the Latinas dominated the frontrunner list?

Now, let’s address the elephant – or in this case, the bird – in the room: Miss Philippines’ national costume. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a costume that defies both gravity and logic. The Internet had a field day dissecting every feather and sequin, leaving us questioning whether the designer had a vision or just a very vivid dream involving an aviary.

Ah, Michelle Dee, the Philippines’ beacon of hope for a fifth Miss Universe crown. The news media and beauty “experts” were so confident in her victory that they practically printed the tiara before the pageant even began. But alas, the universe had other plans, and all they can say now is, “You made us proud.” Translation: Better luck next time, and maybe don’t count your rhinestones before they hatch.

And finally, as we bid adieu to this year’s Miss Universe Pageant, we’re left with the eternal Filipino mantra: “What could have been.” Because in the world of beauty pageants, dreams are shattered, tiaras are left unclaimed, and the quest for the elusive fifth crown continues. See you all next year, same time, same channel, for another round of glitter, drama, and the perpetual pursuit of cosmic beauty.

Raissa Robles: What An Impressive Investigaga Reporting!

In the riveting world of investigative journalism, where objectivity is a distant cousin and neutrality is but a fleeting dream, we find the indomitable Raissa Robles, a self-proclaimed truth-seeker, bravely navigating the treacherous waters of bias and conflict of interest.

As she gracefully pens her latest masterpiece for the South China Morning News, one can’t help but marvel at the sheer audacity with which she tackles the delicate dance of journalistic integrity.

Robles, an investigative virtuoso, has become a paragon of impartiality, a shining beacon of neutrality, or so she would have us believe.

In her recent exposé on the alleged destabilization of the Bongbong Marcos government and the supposed alliance between the Marcos and Duterte dynasties, she effortlessly weaves a narrative so balanced that it teeters on the edge of fantasy.

It’s as if Robles believes that the good people of the Philippines are blissfully unaware of her deep-seated biases. A master of subtlety, she skillfully conceals her anti-Marcos, anti-Duterte sentiments behind the guise of investigative prowess. It’s a bit like a cat trying to convince you it’s a vegetarian while gnawing on a juicy steak.

The South China Morning News, Robles’ last remaining employer, must be commended for fostering an environment where journalistic objectivity is held in the highest regard, or at least that’s the tale they want us to buy. In the grand tradition of unbiased reporting, they allow Robles to pen articles that would make a tightrope walker envious of her balancing act.

The real marvel here is how Robles manages to keep a straight face as she dissects the intricacies of the Marcos-Duterte alliance, all the while suppressing her not-so-subtle disdain for the subjects of her investigation. It’s like watching a magician perform sleight of hand – we know there’s something up her sleeve, but we’re too mesmerized by the illusion to care.

In the grand theater of investigative journalism, Raissa Robles takes center stage, twirling her pen like a virtuoso conductor orchestrating a symphony of bias. Her latest opus for the South China Morning News is a masterpiece of the absurd, a satire of objectivity that would leave even the most seasoned satirist scratching their head in awe.

So, let us all raise a glass to Raissa Robles, the unsung hero of impartiality, and to the South China Morning News, the unwitting accomplice in this comedic saga of bias and conflict of interest.
