QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Vice President Leni Robredo has received a lot of flak after she was caught on camera not singing the Philippine National Anthem along with others in attendance at President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address on Monday.

The Office 0f The Vice President (OVP) was busy engaging in damage control this morning.

OVP Spokesperson Georgina Hernandez told The Adobo Chronicles that Robredo was experiencing a sore throat yesterday, as a result of the continuous rains brought about by recent storms and tropical depressions.

Hernandez assured us that the Vice President knows the full lyrics of the anthem.

To prove the point, the OVP is in the process of producing/recording a music video featuring Robredo singing the national anthem, with no teleprompter.  The video will be posted on Robredo’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – While Manila City Mayor Joseph Estrada was singing his heart out, Vice President Leni Robredo was caught on camera red-faced, groping for the lyrics of the Philippine National Anthem.

This happened at yesterday’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Earlier, Robredo announced she was attending the SONA and was ready to be insulted by Duterte.

Well, she didn’t need the President.  She did it to herself.
