Everyone’s jumping on the meltdown bandwagon, from bloggers to the media, entertainment personalities, and politicians – even a former president can’t resist the temptation to throw a good old-fashioned tantrum!
But what exactly is a meltdown, you ask? It’s a unique Filipino phenomenon where people lose their cool over the most trivial matters. Whether it’s a misplaced hairpin or a typo in a tweet, a meltdown is sure to follow. It’s like a national sport, with contestants vying for gold in the histrionic Olympics.
While it’s doubtful that this meltdown will turn into a global pandemic, it’s a grave concern for the Philippines. Could we go down in history as the original source of this melodramatic illness?
