MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – As part of its public transportation modernization program, the Land Transportation and Regulatory and Franchising Board (LTRFB) is now requiring all public buses to install air-conditioning in all their units.
But it is also aware that purchasing new air-conditioned buses may pose some financial difficulty for some bus companies.
So, as a compromise, LTRFB is allowing buses to just install home aircon units on their existing buses, as long as they are at least 1.5 HP.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – If Raoul Manuel is the best representative of our Filipino youth in Congress, what happens to the saying, “The youth is the future of our Motherland?”
In a recent Congressional hearing on foreign trade and foreign relations, the Kabataan Partylist representative asked the question: Have the Malaysians already returned the bananas (sabá) loaned to them by the Philippines? He said he was asking the question based on what he read on the Internet about Marcos claiming the Philippines has reclaimed the disputed territory of Sabah, Malaysia.
The Adobo Chronicles has obtained a video of that question hour in Congress:
MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Filipinos woke up this morning to the shocking news that Senator Bong Go has been placed under house arrest.
The senator is widely known to be former President Rodrigo Duterte’s lady-in-waiting and personal confidant.
It wasn’t clear who made the arrest or if this development has anything to do with the ICC investigation on Duterte’s war on drugs.
The Adobo Chronicles investigative team can now confirm that it was Ali Bongo, president of the African state of Gabon — not Philippine Senator Bong Go — who was placed under house arrest.
A case of mistaken identity by curiosity-wielding Pinoy netizens?
