He has just been appointed Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation (read: Presidential Whisperer).
What a highfalutin title! But what does it entail?
There is already an existing National Anti-Poverty Commission. There is the Department of Social Welfare and Development. There is the National Economic Development Authority. There’s the 4Ps. There’s various Barangay-level anti-poverty projects.
So what gives?
Someone who has the ear of the President could wield so much power over the concerned agencies. Very Sosi!
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – A lot can happen within PRIDE month in Quezon City!
First, Kyusi Mayor Joy Belmonte announced that LGBTQI+ community members can now avail of her “Right to Care” cards which would allow either gay couple to make health care decisions for the other (as long as they have a special power of attorney. Duh!)
Today, as PRIDE month is about to wrap up, Belmonte announced that LGBTQI+ “CR Cards” will also be made available to self-identified gay men and women.
The special IDs will entitle the bearer to use the public comfort room (CR) of his or her choice, depending on his or her self-identification.
No more Male or Female restrooms in malls and other public places. Just gender-less CRs. With proper ID of course!

Yesterday, Philippine President Bongbong Marcos appointed Gadon as his PAPA: Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation.
Just hours later, Marcos appointed former campaign supporter-turned critic, Bb. Maharlika, as his MAMA : Malacañang Adviser on Maharlika Affairs. The Maharlika Investment Fund was named after the wide-bespectacled vlogger.
The Adobo Chronicles reached out to Bb. Maharlika who told us that her YouTube “Boljak” Channel will be deactivated at noon today. “Mission accomplished,” she said.
