BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio Bureau) – Visitors beware! Before vacationing in the country’s summer capital, be sure to keep up with public restrictions to avoid being fined or even jailed.
As of this writing, the mandatory wearing of face masks is enforced in most public settings, including jeepneys and buses.
You can’t spit (moma) in public.
You can’t urinate in public.
You can’t curse in public.
You can’t hang your laundry (especially underwear) in public view.
Gossip-mongering is definitely a no-no!
And now, the latest city ordinance: “No Smoking Aloud”
So keep it quiet.
