Leni Robredo’s Next Stop: Prince Charles’ Coronation!

LONDON, The United Kingdom (The Adobo Chronicles, London Bureau) – Wherever Philippine President Bongbong Marcos goes, ex-Vice President Leni Robredo goes! And she does it in full regalia: as her favorite cosplay character, the Samurai warrior(ess).

In Washington, D.C., Robredo led U.S. President Joe Biden in his ceremonial welcome for Marcos at The White House.

Her next stop: London — during the coronation of Prince Charles and Queen Consort Camilla.

Who needs to be Philippine President when she can hob-nob with the world’s leading heads of state, in close proximity.

Is Vladimir Putin and Russia next on Robredo’s itinerary?

Stay tuned!

Adobo Chronicles’ Publisher Offered $200,000 For His Artwork By Louvre Museum!

PARIS, France (The Adobo Chronicles, Paris Bureau)- The big news this week is not about the museum visitor who ate the fresh banana in Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan artwork displayed at a museum in Seoul, South Korea. (The artwork consists of a ripe banana attached to a wall with duct tape). It reportedly costs $160,000.

Rather, our very own publisher at The Adobo Chronicles was invited to display his original artwork at the Louvre museum in Paris, France. Our publisher’s artwork features a Chinese eggplant attached to a canvas with white tape. He was offered $200,000 to display at the museum, plus free roundtrip ticket at hotel accommodation to attend the opening of the exhibit.

Not bad. Congratulations, boss!

PBBM In America: Photo Erratum!

WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – You can’t be protesting against someone with happy faces. It doesn’t make sense. The anger must show. Unless, of course, it is meant to be a fun photo op or groupie.

A very small group of (supposedly) Filipino Americans posed for a photo in front of some unknown warehouse in Massachusetts the other day, protesting the state visit of Philippine President Bongbong Marcos. Their banner read: “Marcos is not welcome here!” (meaning in America).

But the photo showed happy faces. Did they really mean what their banner was trying to convey?

So we asked our resident designer to do a photo erratum on our behalf and on behalf of the protesters!
