WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – You can’t be protesting against someone with happy faces. It doesn’t make sense. The anger must show. Unless, of course, it is meant to be a fun photo op or groupie.
A very small group of (supposedly) Filipino Americans posed for a photo in front of some unknown warehouse in Massachusetts the other day, protesting the state visit of Philippine President Bongbong Marcos. Their banner read: “Marcos is not welcome here!” (meaning in America).
But the photo showed happy faces. Did they really mean what their banner was trying to convey?
So we asked our resident designer to do a photo erratum on our behalf and on behalf of the protesters!
