Raissa Robles Adds Apples To Oranges

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Being a failed book author and a self-proclaimed investigative writer does not make one a math expert, especially if your college course focused on imaginative writing.

Case in point: Raissa Robles.

Commenting on a recent poll showing 29% of Filipinos who said their quality of life improved in the last year compared to 25% who said it got worse, Robles drew her mathematical equation resulting in 71% not seeing any improvement. She, of course added the 46% who said their quality of life remained the same.

Robles must have been absent from class when the professor talked about not comparing apples with oranges, because adding 3 apples and 2 oranges does not result in 5 apples.

Get that, Ms. Robles?

TUL-4: A New Philippine Political Dynasty Rises!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – For decades, Philippine lawmakers have tried, but failed, to come up with an anti-political dynasty law.

As a result, more and more families are cementing their hold on politics.

TUL-4 is the latest dynasty to emerge, with the swearing in of ex-DSDWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo as House (Partylist) Representative.

Erwin becomes the fourth Tulfo in the legislative branch: brother Raffy is senator, sister-in-law Jocelyn (wife of Raffy) is ACT-CIS representative, and nephew Ralph is a lawmaker representing Quezon City’s 2nd District.

Four Tulfos equals TUL-4!

Tulfo entered the House as a substitute nominee of party-list group ACT-CIS, replacing original third nominee Jeffrey Soriano who  resigned from the chamber last February.

Tito, Vic and Joey To Resurrect Show On ABS-CBN/Prime Media!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – It’s farewell for Tito, Vic and Joey (TVJ) from their home of 28 years — GMA 7 — as they went to work for the last day today. Social media fans of their noon-time show, “Eat Bulaga” all but blurred their profile photos with the color black or candles.

But here’s good news!

The trio told The Adobo Chronicles that they will soon resurrect their slapstick show on the defunct ABS-CBN which has recently entered into a content partnership with Martin Romualdez’ Prime Media network.

It’ll be the same old trio but in order to set themselves apart from the network they just left, they will rename their group Joey, Vic and Tito (JVT)

Same same, but different!
