HOLLYWOOD, California (The Adobo Chronicles, Hollywood Bureau) – Both fans and haters were impressed with Megastar Sharon Cuneta when she was quoted in a social media post on March 17, 2023, saying that “We ladies should never allow anyone to tell us we are past our prime… we should never give up.”

But there is a problem. She wasn’t really the author and now she is being sued by the originator of that famous quote, 2023 Oscar Best Actress Michelle Yeoh. Cuneta is being sued for plagiarism.

Yeoh became the first ever Asian American to win Best Actress in the history of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

As Exhibit A of Yeoh’s lawsuit against Cuneta, here is a video clip on Oscar Night last March 13, 2023, showing that it was the Academy Award winner who said what Cuneta said.
