MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Even with food, the Philippines is always on the international radar.
We all know that adobo and sinigang have long been recognized among the best cuisines the world over.
But then again, the Philippines also made it to the list of the world’s top worst food, according to TasteAtlas.
Included in the worst list are Naga City’s Kinalas and the Filipino traditional breakfast Hotsilog.
Kinalas is a Filipino dish of noodles, spices, pork or beef brains, and scraped meat from pork or beef head, with the addition of a thick brown sauce made from dried shrimps, vinegar, garlic, shallots, soy sauce, and fish sauce.
Hotsilog is, of course, that plated breakfast of fried rice, egg and hotdog.
Ex-Vice President Leni Robredo, who hails from Naga, is contemplating on lodging a complaint against TasteAtlas for naming her favorite food among the world’s worst.
