MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is making good on his promise to donate most of his wealth to charity and to fight climate change.

Earlier, Bezos donated $100 Million to singer Dolly Parton to use for her charitable undertakings.

Now, The Adobo Chronicles has received word that the billionaire is donating another $100 Million to the Filipino American satire site in support of its mission to change the pervasive climate of disinformation in news and social media and to bring much needed fun to news reporting.

“News sites like Rappler, Fox News and CNN have frustratingly become purveyors of biased news, resulting in disinformation among news consumers,” Bezos said. “We need more news sites that tell stories the way they should be told, coupled with bringing smiles on the faces on news readers.”
