Leni Robredo Proclaimed President-elect of Northeastern United States!

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – Bongbong Marcos may have won the Philippine presidential race with an impressive majority vote of 31 million, but Vice President Leni Robredo has been proclaimed president of the northeastern United States.

As tallied by the Philippine Consulate in New York, Robredo garnered 7,750 votes compared to Marcos’ 5,796! The northeastern United States includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Upon hearing of the good news, the Office of the Vice President confirmed to The Adobo Chronicles that Robredo is now finalizing plans to self-exile to Boston, Massachusetts, to assume the presidency. Boston is the same city where the Aquinos self-exiled during the Marcos, Sr. presidency.

Bon Voyage, Mrs. Robredo!

Kakie Pangilinan Accepts Professor Clarita Carlos’ Challenge, With A Catch

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Kakie Pangilinan, daughter of actress Sharon Cuneta and defeated vice presidential candidate Kiko Pangilinan has accepted a challenge from professor extraordinaire Clarita Carlos.

Earlier, Pangilinan posted in her social media account that she is ”not going to have my president be named Marcos again,” in obvious reference to the landslide victory of Bongbong Marcos as the next Philippine leader.

Carlos challenged Pangilinan to write a 5,000-word essay defending her declaration.

Pangilinan accepted the challenge with a caveat: she says she can only write a maximum of 280 characters. On Twitter.

It wasn’t clear if that’s good enough for the professor.
