MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – To run or not to run, that is the question.
But if Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wasn’t joking when he said he will keep on running for Vice President just to avoid criminal prosecution after he completes his 6-year term in 2022, he could very well be the country’s Vice President for life.
In reality Duterte could only be VP for two terms, or a total of 12 years.
The Philippine Constitution allows one reelection for an elected Vice President.
In 2022, Duterte will be 77 years old. So if he runs for VP and wins, and runs for and wins reelection to a second term, he will be 89 by the time he completes both terms.
So, he could be VP for life. Unless he survives the 12 years.

Duterte Should not be allowed to run again for any High Office and the Liberia Party should place Manny Pacquiao on the ticket as VP with Leni Robredo’s as President. Manny will out run Duterte 8 out of 10 times. it is Manny’s day and he has been doing a wonderful Job in the senate, no matter what they say about the schooling, and there should not be any stipulations for running with a collage education, if we already had Manny as President the chinese problem would have been finished by now and china would never have finished or been allowed to continue to build or make new Islands on Philippines Land, as right now we need a fighter, not someone filling their pockets for personal Gain! remember this, Duterte has killed thousands of your children with out any due process, what does this tell you and remember this is what Duterte has pushed for throughout his presidency. this is no Joke, Duterte is on the same level as Marcos who prisoned this country and stolen all the Richer berried during world war II and and his wife ran like scared Rabbits, the disgusting part of it, WAS, with so many people giving his family respect and allowed her to come back to this country rich as poor people know what she helped hide from the government and remember Duterte has allowed Marcos to be berried with honors which is a disgrace to all Veterans and their defense and fight for this country! Duterte deserves to be arrested and charged by the ICC and found Guilty which means Hanging the man. Another 6 years of Duterte God Bless Manny and Leni! We need a fighter in these times. and let Duterte get what he deserves for killing thousands of Philippines citizens without due process.
