QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – Vice President Leni Robredo is finally breaking her silence regarding the low trust and approval ratings she received in the latest Pulse Asia poll.
In the survey, Robredo’s trust rating was 50%, with 22% distrust or a net rating of 28%. Her approval rating was 57%, with 22% disapproval or a net rating of 35%.
In contrast, President Rodrigo Duterte received a whopping 91% rating for both trust and performance.

Speaking with The Adobo Chronicles, OVP Spokesperson Barry Gutierrez said that Robredo blames her dismal ratings to Rappler and other fake news sites which insist on publicizing news and statements from the VP, even if most Filipinos do not believe them. “The fake news have definitely hurt the image of Robredo,” Gutierrez said.
