MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The impending decision by the Philippines’ Supreme Court, acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), on the 2016 Vice Presidential electoral protest, could become moot and academic. That is, if an agreement between Leni Robredo and Ferdinand (Bongbong) Marcos, Jr. holds ground.
Marcos and Robredo are both claiming that they are the duly-elected Vice President.
But in the spirit of national unity and reconciliation, both have agreed to settle the issue once and for all — through a coin toss.
They vowed to respect the result of the coin toss.
It all comes down to heads or tails.
