BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Baguio Bureau) – Those who live in or have visited Baguio know that there is a sprawling Presidential Summer Residence in the City — The Mansion House. But no VP House.
In anticipation of continuing her reign — albeit questionable — as the country’s Vice President for another three years, Leni Robredo is now asking why she has no summer residence to go to in Baguio.
“I’m a heartbeat away from the Presidency, yet I am not afforded the same perks as the President,” she told The Adobo Chronicles.
Upon hearing of Robredo’s complaint, the Baguio City Council approved a resolution for the immediate purchase of a portable home for the Vice President, to be set up on Mt. Santo Tomas, the highest mountain peak in the city.
