PNoy Blames Duterte For Decline In Leni Robredo’s Approval Rating

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Ex-President NoyNoy Aquino is known for his blame game. He blamed his predecessor Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for everything that went wrong during his 6 years in office.

Now, PNoy is back, blaming President Rodrigo Duterte for the recent decline in the approval rating of VP Leni  Robredo.

Robredo’s approval rating declined from +42 to +28 in the latest poll by the SWS.

Aquino said the steep decline was due to Duterte’s recent public pronouncements that Robredo will never be ready to be President. “Duterte’s pronouncements have resonated well with the Filipino people, resulting in negative ratings for the VP,” he added.

Duterte Orders Cabinet Members To Undergo 3 Months Military Training

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – During his State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Rodrigo Duterte reiterated Monday that he chose military men to be part of his Cabinet because they followed orders.

“Kapag sinabi mong walang corruption, walang corruption,” he added. (If you tell them no corruption, there will be no corruption.)

He added that members of the armed services were aware that he was a lawyer, and that he would never issue any illegal order.

So, as Duterte begins the final 3 years of his presidency, he has ordered all his Cabinet Secretaries and Undersecretaries — men and women — to undergo a  3-month military training to instill in them discipline, integrity and loyalty in serving his administration and the Filipino people.

Malacañang told The Adobo Chronicles that the only exemptions to his order are members of his Cabinet who have been ex-military men and those who have undergone R.O.T.C. (Reserved Officers Training Corps) in their younger years in college.

Sa ika-uunlad ng Bayan, disiplina ang kailangan. (Discipline is needed for the nation’s progress.)

Duterte Names 3 Who Disapprove Of His Performance

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – At the top of his State of the Nation Address (SONA) last Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte boasted of his 3% disapproval rating among Filipinos — that’s just 3 out of every 100 Filipinos.

Duterte was quoting the latest poll by Pulse Asia, the same survey that found Vice President Leno Robredo’s disapproval rating at 24%.

Today, Duterte named 3 Filipinos who disapprove of his performance: Risa Hontiveros, Franklin Drilon and Kiko Pangilinan — the last three standing Opposition members of the Senate.

Tomorrow, the President said he will name another three, this time from the biased local mainstream media.  Could these be Maria Ressa, Ellen Tordesillas and Inday Espina-Varona?
