MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – While Senator Antonio Trillanes has criticized Rodrigo Duterte’s “power naps,” another Senator, Franklin Drilon, has come to the President’s defense.
Trillanes said the President’s naps can either be indicators of his health condition or laziness, noting that it’s a “big problem” for the Philippines.
But Drilon thinks otherwise. “Power naps” are good for the country. It helps rejuvinate our hard-working leaders. We all need time to rest and recoup from too many hours of hard work,” he said.
“That’s precisely why I always take naps during and in between sessions of the Senate. I always wake up from my naps a new man, ready to face the many challenges of my job as a dedicated and efficient public servant,” Drilon added.
