NAGA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The ongoing recount of contested ballots in the 2016 Vice Presidential elections is generating more questions than answers as to who is the legitimate winner between Bongbong Marcos and Leni Robredo.

First, there was the discovery of wet ballots. Then the mystery of missing audit logs.

(Earlier, the Catholic Bishops claimed the ballots were merely blessed and sprinkled with Holy Water.)

Now comes yet another puzzle.

A needle and hazardous waste disposal container was found along with the ballot boxes from Camarines Sur.

An ocular  inspection of the container seems to confirm the presence of used needle syringes marked ‘Dengvaxia.’

Comelec officials fear that the rest of the ballot boxes may have been contaminated and could render them null and void for the recount.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
