MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Considered one of the major figures in the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution that toppled the regime of Ferdinand E. Marcos, ex-President Fidel Ramos, 89, has found a new calling: a fashion trendsetter.
During the commemoration of 32nd anniversary of EDSA 1, Ramos showed up in an avant-garde get up: a white undershirt on top of his purple t-shirt.
Most, if not all people wear undershirts — well, under their dress shirts or t-shirts. It is quite common especially in tropical countries as a way to keep perspiration in check and not ruin the dress shirt.
Expect Filipino millennials to follow Ramos’ lead and start wearing undershirts on the outside instead of inside.
