NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – Now it can be told.

TIME magazine’s Person of the Year cover featured women described as the “Silence Breakers,” those who had the courage to come out of anonymity to announce to the world that they were victims of a growing epidemic in America: sexual harassment.

Unknown to many readers, a Filipina was supposed to be part of that powerful cover photo for being forced out of anonymity after it was revealed that she was the person behind the anti-Duterte political blog, Pinoy Ako Blog (PAB).

Jover Laurio had her own moments of fame when the BBC interviewed her about breaking her silence.

However, TIME editors decided at the last minute to crop PAB out if the cover photo after another (pro-Duterte) blogger, Sass Rogando Sasot complained to the magazine.
