WASHINGTON D.C. (The Adobo Chronicles, Washington Bureau) – Each year, tbe President of the United States pardons a pair of turkeys, saving them them from ever being butchered and served for the American Thanksgiving Dinner.

Each year, some 46 million turkeys are killed.

Donald Trump is changing this presidential tradition. In addition to pardoning Wishbone and Drumstick (pictured), he has also signed an executive order pardoning an additional 4 million turkeys.

’Pardoning 2 turkeys won’t make any impact, so I’m going for 4 million instead. That’s about ten percent of all turkeys killed each year in America,’ Trump told The Adobo Chronicles.
