JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (The Adobo Chronicles, Berlin Bureau) – Companies — large and small — have a tradition of giving out awards to their employees, not the least of which is the ‘Employee of the Month’ Award.

Well, Liberal International, a federation of liberal political parties, is no exception. Yesterday, it handed out is prestigious ‘Employee of the Month’ award to incarcerated Philippine Senator Leila de Lima.

De Lima is a member of the Philippines’ Liberal Party which is a member of this international liberal company.
