MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Don’t be deceived by retired entertainer Jim Paredes’ anti-Duterte rants.  He’s actually a very powerful influence in the current administration.

Case in point:  In a recent tweet, Paredes asked that Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Assistant Secretary Lorraine M. Badoy be fired while expressing his support for PAB (Pinoy Ako Blog).  Paredes accused Badoy of being a bully.

Well, the President heard Paredes loud and clear.

Today Badoy officially vacates her DSWD position.

Duterte just appointed her Undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

Moral of the story:  It pays to be a bully; and whatever Paredes wants, he gets.
